We are CocoLemon!

Hi! We’re SarahMarie and Ashley

We have been in this industry since 2006 and we’ve learned a thing or two along the way. We’ve worked hard behind the chair side by side in just about every work environment imaginable and when our boys were born we knew we had to flip the script.

We were tired of being tired and couldn’t afford the long, jam-packed hours behind the chair anymore. As independent stylists we were able to do things our way and figure out exactly what working smarter not harder felt like. We came into our own as artists and our individual businesses BOOMED, side by side.

Soon we were travel educating for a huge independent education company and being featured in online and print articles in our industry being recognized as colorists and business women, including multiple Behind the Chair one shot nominations and being named 2 of the Top 100 hairstylists in the country by Modern Salon in 2021. We were growing, and needed more space but couldn’t find a space that provided everything we were looking for in a salon. So we built our own.

So CocoLemon Hair Salon and Education Co. was born. We opened CocoLemon’s original doors in December 2019 and by March 2020 we were shut down for months thanks to you-know-what. But despite the virus, our business boomed. We actually reopened our doors with a new stylist and apprentice. People wanted more of what we were serving, a place they could be themselves and be supported for doing just that. In our hybrid salon we have created a space for stylists to embrace their artistic sides and find freedom in their creativity knowing they’re supported as individuals within the salons culture. We believe that the definition of success is very personal and independence can only be defined by the individual. Welcome to CocoLemon, your new hair home!

In starting this blog we hope to share our same passion for our specialty services and letting our team shine in their lane of excellence as well. We can’t wait to share some of our fav hair and make up tips and tricks to extend the CocoLemon experience into your daily home life too!
